I love newsletters. I love getting all this information right in my inbox, just waiting for me to read and discover whole new exciting things out there. I love reading the latest trends in marketing, experiments in web design, interesting changes to search algorithms, and just cool stuff people are doing online.
Because I get so much value from them, I want to share a few favourites. Whether you're designing, building, writing, creating, or just curious, here are 15 newsletters worth subscribing to.
General Web News
TLDR Newsletters
Honestly, this is the gift that keeps on giving. Plenty of topics and a lot of great information. And you can pick which topics you're most interested in. I've picked up a lot of great articles from their Marketing, Design and Web Development newsletters, and I've found some great articles in their Information Security, AI and Startups newsletters as well. They arrive every weekday with each having around 10 brand-new links for you to read.
Sidebar.io
Five links every day from the UX Collective. Think design, usability and the evolving shape of the web. And there's always something interesting, from Reddit designers talking about the most pointless trend in modern web design or the new typeface for Penguin Books.
Tech Productivity
Love a good productivity hack or tool to get things done? Tech Productivity is packed with the latest tools, tricks and advice on how to work smarter every day.
Web Development and Design
The Index
How can I even describe Andy Bell's amazing newsletter? Five links, twice a week, focusing on front-end development. Expect neat little CSS tricks, the latest HTML spec, a cool-looking demo and more resources than you can shake a stick at.
Web Weekly
Stefan Judis brings together an inspiring mix of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, tools, tunes and a lot more to help you build the coolest websites. I love it for the little tricks and tips he peppers in, as well as the great sites he links to.

Zoran Jambor's weekly newsletter gives you a whole world of CSS in a perfectly formed package. Whether you're starting out or ready to level up, this newsletter gives you plenty to spark your imagination.
Smashing Magazine Newsletter
Oh, where would I be without Smashing Magazine? Along with all their own epic front-end and UX articles, they link to even more front-end and UX articles around the web, giving you plenty of stuff to think about when you're making websites. Plus, they love to have themed issues like "Lovely Little Websites", to give you brilliant ideas for making your own sites.
Web Tools Weekly
Having a hard time finding the right tool for the job? Louis Lazaris is here to help. His weekly newsletter gives you a carefully curated collection of tools that he's found over the past week. From content management systems to build tools to brand new frameworks and so much more, Web Tools Weekly will give you plenty of resources just waiting for you to use them.
Access*Ability
Accessibility is a vital part of any designer or developer's process, and Sheri Byrne-Haber's newsletter is a great weekly reminder on what you can do to push more accessibility in your workplace, in your community and in your own work.
All Things WordPress
WPDigest.io
It calls itself "The only WordPress newsletter you'll ever need", and while I don't 100% agree with that (I always need more WordPress news, otherwise how can we write WordPress blog posts?), it does cram all the latest WordPress news into one convenient package. Find out about new releases, interesting plugins and what's happening in the wider WordPress world every week.
wpMail
wpMail is also a great WordPress newsletter, giving you a little more detail for the articles and navigating all the interesting things that get released every week. From new themes to debugging error messages to podcasts and videos, wpMail is a great way to stay in the loop without going down too many rabbit holes.
Wordfence
Focused on security, Wordfence is the newsletter you need if you're responsible for keeping a WordPress site safe. Vulnerabilities, current issues, major hacks and vital patches — Wordfence is watching them all, and a subscription will send everything you need to know straight to your inbox.
Marketing and SEO
Search Engine Journal
Because I'm in Marketing, I have to keep up with what's happening in the search engine world. If there's an algorithm change that's going to affect the ranking of a page I've been working on, I need to know about it right away. And Search Engine Journal is right there with all the info I need. Ideal if SEO touches your work, even tangentially.
Semrush News
Along with their blog filled with the best SEO information around, Semrush have a newsletter that links to all their fantastic articles, covering everything from practical guides to industry insights, to give you SEO possibilities you didn't even know existed.
Perfect Sentences
If you're a copywriter, you know how hard it is to write sometimes. Perfect Sentences is Ingrid Burrington's weekly hit of inspiration, showing you beautiful sentences she's found over the past week. It's a lovely thing to find in your inbox on Monday morning, right before you open up that blank document and get to work.
