Celebrating International Sloth Day with our Super Awesome Sloth Site!

On International Sloth Day, all of us at Krystal wanted to let you know three things:

1. We really think sloths are cool
2. We want to make a website about them
3. Sloths are seriously so cool

Now, we don't have a lot of time, and even less budget, but we still wanted to make a website. And while we might not be able to hire a big-name celebrity like Walt Goggins or Kristen Bell to show off how much we love sloths, we can still give you plenty of sloth facts and sloth pictures all over the place.

And with our AI Site Builder, we can make our website in a matter of minutes! I'll talk you through the steps so you too can make a website about your favourite animal (but it's obviously better to make it about sloths).

Get a Managed WordPress package

Our AI Site Builder is only available on Managed WordPress packages, so find the one that would work best for you and purchase it. And the first month is absolutely free so go on — try it out!

In this case, we're choosing the Personal Plan, because we're only going to make one website.

Once we've purchased our package, we can go into our Managed WordPress admin area through our Krystal Identity.

Make a new site

It won't have anything on it initially, but you need to make the site in order to put all your amazing sloth facts up.

The site will ask you for what your site is named and whether or not you want to use our AI Site Builder.

Tick the AI Site Builder, come up with a great name, and by just clicking "Create your site", you're on your way.

Once the site's made, you can go to the site control panel (which will give you everything you can do with the site), but since our site has nothing on it, it's time to click "Launch AI Site Builder".

Pick out your details

The first thing you'll need to do is check that you're happy with the name.

Then describe what you want the site to do and what sort of tone you want. Obviously, different types of websites need different tones, so think about what would work best for you, your website, and what you're trying to say.

Once you decide what you want the site to be, the AI Site Builder will take your details, and then you have further choices to make.

Do you want it to be one page or multiple pages? Do you want it to include a blog? Are you going to be having events? Are you selling anything?

Since this is just an informative site about sloths, we don't need much. And to save time, we're not even having a blog. Just a single page with different sections, all ready for all those sloth facts.

Pick a design

Once you have the details in place, it's time to pick the prettiest design for your brand new website. And our AI Site Builder has plenty.

Now, being that I am a sucker for brighter colours, I can already see what I'm going to pick.

And there you go — the site is being built before your very eyes!

Make changes to your site

Once it's live, there's a great little pop up that'll give you advice on making any changes. In this case, I want to change the colour, because while the pink is great, it doesn't really give me "Sloth".

The AI Agent will bring up an answer to your question and then you can decide what you want to do.

Do I go for pale green?

Or neon green?

I think neon green is where it's at.

Edit the text

You can make even more changes either through the AI Agent or through the standard WordPress interface.

While OpenAI can produce good basic content, it just doesn't have enough sloth facts in there. So don't be afraid to go in and edit the text to include as much detail as you want.

Optimise for search engines

The site built with our AI Site Builder also comes with Yoast, one of the most popular SEO plugins available for WordPress, which makes it easy to give your site the best optimisation around.

Change the pictures

And if you want to change any of the pictures, you can either have AI-generated images, or choose the best free ones from Unsplash.

Once you're happy with everything, click "Save", and tell everyone about your brand new website! Or go out and celebrate sloths!
